The door will usually stop partway, hang visibly crooked, or sit with one side higher than the other. From inside the garage you can often see a roller out of the channel, a bent section of vertical track, or a gap between the door edge and the jamb that was not there before. You may also hear scraping or grinding as the opener runs.
