The door would not lift at all on a Sunday morning and a car was stuck inside. They answered straight away, and once they saw the coils they told me both torsion springs had gone rather than just the broken one. The door is quieter now than it was before it failed, and the price I agreed on the phone is what I paid.

The old chain drive finally gave up. They explained the difference between belt and screw drive for a detached garage that gets cold and damp, did not push me toward the dearest option, and left the garage tidier than they found it. Two remotes were programmed and labelled.

A delivery driver backed into the door and knocked the top section off the track. They secured it the same afternoon, ordered the replacement section and came back once it landed. They also pointed out a roller that had been flat for a while and swapped it while they were there.

We have been on the plan for two years and the autumn visit is the one that matters, because the door used to start grinding as soon as the rain arrived. It has not done that since. They always call before setting off and send a written summary afterwards.

From measure-up to installation everything was handled properly. They checked the headroom and the spring calculation against the new door weight rather than reusing what was there, protected the driveway, took the old door away and walked me through the safety reverse test.
